"Zoe Whittall might just be the cockiest, brashest, funniest, toughest, most life-affirming, elegant, scruffy, no-holds-barred writer to emerge from Montreal since Mordecai Richler..." The Globe & Mail
Hello Zoe,You write some great stuff. It's close to my heart cuz I'm a former Montrealer, with a great love for that city, now living in Toronto, which does have its uh... positive aspects, I guess... but it's no Montreal. Anyway, I recently did a reading at The Painted Lady with Evie Christie & Tom Walmsley, an event called Me & My Big Mouth and it was tons 'o' fun. I read from a Montreal novel called Mount Royal, about a gang of bi-sexual, transsexual, etc students, alleged artists, welfare bums & various other ne'er-do-wells living on The Main circa 1989, a few years before Bottle Rockets. The thing is, I'm trying to organize another reading, cuz I love doing readings and I'm looking for a female author to join a threesome, for the reading, I mean.If you want to check out my stuff, an excerpt of Mount Royal has been published on a online literary mag called Capture. My stuff is at:www.capturelitmag.com/capturebpapademos3.htmlSo maybe take a look and if you're up for it, I'm trying to get something set up at Revival Bar on College or The Central at Bloor & Bathurst for mid-October or so.thanks,firstname.lastname@example.org
